Krankenhaus Waldfriede e. V.

Krankenhaus Waldfriede is a hospital in Berlin that provides medical and nursing care, combining professional standards with a compassionate, patient-centred approach shaped by principles of Christian charity. Its services include a central emergency department, specialist medical departments, and cancer centres certified by the German Cancer Society (DKG). The hospital also offers patient and visitor information, appointment booking, and support through its nursing services. Each year, more than 100,000 patients receive outpatient care, while approximately 15,000 are treated as inpatients.

Waldfriede is part of a broader network that has grown since its founding in 1920 and includes seven facilities. The network employs more than 950 people and is among the larger employers in Berlin’s Steglitz-Zehlendorf district. Alongside healthcare, the organisation provides career opportunities and information about education, training, and professional development. Its website also features resources such as frequently asked questions, events, a supporters’ association, and an anxiety-reduction initiative for patients.
