Krasec

Krasec, formally the Regional Network of Environmental Centers, is a nonprofit association supporting environmental counseling, education, training, and public awareness in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. Founded in 2007, it initially coordinated environmental advice and expanded its work in 2008 to support and connect local environmental education centers. Today, Krasec brings together 15 member organizations, creating a regional platform through which centers and counseling services offer the public a broad range of environmental information and learning opportunities.

The network shares practical guidance and organizes educational activities, public events, excursions, and discussions on topics such as nature, climate, water, and conservation. Its website also features resources on sustainable tourism and responsible behavior in nature, alongside information about revitalized educational trails and nature-based activities, including games in České Budějovice parks. Krasec publishes event calendars and regional news, and provides information for educators and other interested visitors. Since 2010, the association has been a member of the Green Circle’s professional platform.
