Krav Maga Friesland

Krav Maga Friesland provides practical self-defence and resilience training in Heerenveen and Aldeboarn, with programmes for children, teenagers, girls and women. Its approach goes beyond physical techniques, helping participants build confidence, recognise unsafe situations, set clear boundaries and respond calmly to stress, bullying, social pressure or intimidation. Training includes verbal communication, awareness, realistic practice and ways to defend oneself when necessary, with an emphasis on getting to safety.

The organisation offers ongoing resilience and self-defence classes, including its Power Girls programme for girls and Power Women programme for women. These sessions address challenges such as bullying, exclusion, harassment and feeling unsafe, in a respectful learning environment with small groups and personal attention. Krav Maga Friesland describes its work as distinct from a standard martial arts or fitness school: the focus is not on learning to fight, but on developing practical skills and mental resilience for everyday situations. Participants practise regularly and build skills step by step, rather than relying on a short course.
