FPKM

The Portuguese Krav Maga Federation (FPKM) is Portugal’s oldest and largest organisation dedicated to teaching Krav Maga, a practical system of personal defence. Founded in 2004 by Master Paulo Pereira, the federation serves members across mainland Portugal and the islands through a network of more than 40 schools and over 70 active, trained instructors. It reports more than 1,500 current affiliated practitioners and over 7,500 people trained since its creation.

FPKM offers Krav Maga classes for adults aged 15 and older, with training adapted to different physiques, genders and fitness levels. Its children’s programme, available from age six, teaches personal defence through an approach designed to be engaging and age-appropriate. The federation also provides integrated security consulting and training through Taktica, serving police, military and private security sectors. FPKM International connects instructors, clubs, academies and organisations that share its focus on quality and professional development. The federation also offers instructor development, events and workshops, and helps prospective students find a school by location or instructor.
