About Krajowa Rada BRD
Krajowa Rada Bezpieczeństwa Ruchu Drogowego (KRBRD) is a governmental organization responsible for promoting road safety in Poland. The executive unit of KRBRD is the KRBRD Secretariat, which operates as an internal organizational unit of the minister responsible for transport. The Secretariat carries out various activities aimed at promoting safety on Polish roads among all road users.
KRBRD focuses on implementing programs and initiatives to improve road safety, conducting research and analysis on road accidents and their costs, and providing guidelines and manuals on road safety. They also collaborate with national and international partners to develop and implement national road safety programs. In recognition of their efforts, Poland was awarded the European Road Safety Performance Index (PIN) Award by the European Transport Safety Council in 2023.
