About Kreuzberg-Festival
Kreuzberg-Festival, previously known as Bergmannstraßenfest, is a vibrant celebration of music and culture held annually in Berlin's Kreuzberg district. Established in 1994, this beloved festival marks its 30th anniversary in 2024, showcasing three days of exhilarating performances across multiple stages. Originally launched as a community initiative by Kiez und Kultur e. V., it evolved into Germany's largest jazz open-air festival, "Jazz-Sommer Berlin." After relocating in 2018, it has been hosted by the newly formed Kreuzberg-Festival e. V., continuing its legacy of free, outdoor entertainment.
Attendees can expect an eclectic lineup of musical performances, complemented by a variety of culinary delights and artisan offerings. The festival not only highlights the rich diversity of the district but also fosters a sense of community and cultural engagement. With support from local leaders, including the district mayor, the Kreuzberg-Festival serves as a testament to the area's vibrant spirit, offering a platform for both established and emerging artists.
