Krewe of Cleopatra is an all-female organization that has been a part of Mardi Gras in New Orleans since 1972. Inspired by the brave and beautiful Queen Cleopatra from antiquity, this family-based krewe combines their passion for Mardi Gras and their love for the city to create a unique sisterhood. Every year, on the first Friday of Carnival Season, the Krewe rolls through the streets of New Orleans, kicking off the city-wide celebration with unparalleled spirit and flair.
The members of the Krewe of Cleopatra community embrace the qualities of grace, femininity, and strong leadership that Cleopatra exemplified. Ladies from all backgrounds and ages are welcome to apply for Krewe Membership and the opportunity to ride during this unforgettable Mardi Gras season.
