KVLH, the Danish War Veteran National Team, brings veterans together through football, using the sport’s shared purpose and team spirit to support rehabilitation, strengthen community, and help prevent isolation. Founded by soldiers for soldiers, the team is volunteer-run and welcomes wounded, civilian, and serving veterans, regardless of football experience, background, functional ability, or life situation. Its focus is not performance but belonging and the journey of taking part.
KVLH holds open training sessions and participates in Danish military sports events, international veterans’ tournaments, and friendly matches against other countries’ war veteran teams. The organisation also invites veterans to connect with the team and explore ways to participate, whether on the pitch or around the group. For businesses and other supporters, KVLH offers sponsorship packages that include exposure, networking access, and an opportunity to support its social mission. The team’s activities and community are supported by partners, and interested veterans, sponsors, and supporters can contact KVLH directly for information about participation and current opportunities.
