KRK ŠAĽA

K.R.K. Šaľa, or the Speed Canoeing Club of Šaľa, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring and developing competitive canoeing in the Slovak city of Šaľa. Founded to revive the sport locally, the club builds on a long tradition: Šaľa’s canoeing community has produced champions across the former Czechoslovakia and Slovakia, as well as athletes who represented Slovakia at major international competitions, including World and European Championships.

After a 20-year absence, speed canoeing returned to Šaľa through the efforts of the club, Slovak Canoeing, sponsors, and alumni of the former club. K.R.K. Šaľa provides opportunities for children and young people to take part in sport and supports a healthy lifestyle. Its home is a riverside training and club area on the Váh, which the organization continues to improve and develop.

The club welcomes financial and material contributions to help build its organization and infrastructure. Its website also shares information about the club’s history, photographs, supporters, and contact details.
