Kropsun Perhekoti is a family-style residential care provider for children and young people in Haukipudas, Finland. Located in Siikasaari by the lower reaches of the Kiiminkijoki River, the organization has operated since 1993. In 2012, it expanded by opening a second unit in Halkokari. Together, the two units offer ten places: six in Siikasaari and four in Halkokari.
At both locations, the family care parents live in the same house as the children and young people, providing round-the-clock support. A multidisciplinary staff team also works at the units during the day, and the two locations cooperate closely in their daily work.
Kropsun Perhekoti aims to provide a safe, stimulating, and home-like environment in which children and young people can grow. Its approach emphasizes warm, lasting relationships and clear, consistent boundaries, offering stability as well as care. The organization’s services are centered on providing residential placements within this supportive family setting.
