Welcome to KRSA, the Kenai River Sportfishing Association! As a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization headquartered in Soldotna, Alaska, our mission is to ensure the sustainability of the greatest sportfishing river in the world – the Kenai. We are dedicated to conserving and rehabilitating fisheries habitat to maintain and improve the Kenai River watershed, as well as promoting predictable and meaningful sport and personal use fishing opportunities. Through our research initiatives, we aim to advance information for the sustainable management of fisheries.
Additionally, we provide public education, scholarships, and outreach programs to promote stewardship of our precious fisheries resources. Our board of directors and staff, all proud Alaskans, are passionate about fishing and work tirelessly to protect Alaska's recreational fishing rights.
With the support of over 200 volunteers and dedicated members, we fund various programs, from habitat protection and rehabilitation to education on sportfishing and water conservation. We are grateful for the contributions of our sponsors, donors, and partners at the local, state, and federal levels who help us coordinate and leverage resources.
