Křtětická pískovna

Křtětická Pískovna is a private fishing and camping destination near Vodňany in South Bohemia, Czech Republic. Set in a natural, peaceful landscape beside the Blanice River, the approximately 0.5-hectare former sand pit offers varied underwater terrain, including shallows, deeper sections, and changes in the lakebed. The water is home to species such as common carp, catfish, grass carp, pike, zander, and eel, with catches over 10 kilograms reported.

The site offers designated fishing spots and a quiet setting for visitors seeking time outdoors away from crowded public waters. Camping is available by arrangement with the site manager, with options for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. Campfires may be made only as directed by the manager, and visitors are asked to leave their pitch clean. Access is via an unpaved route that may be difficult after heavy rain.

Sport fishing is suspended for 2026 following a severe spring fish mortality event; camping remains available. Fishing is expected to resume in 2027. Reservations and inquiries can be made directly with the manager.
