KRV von 1897 e.V.

Kitzinger Ruderverein von 1897 e.V. (KRV) is a rowing club based in Kitzingen on the Main River, founded in 1897 by six rowing enthusiasts. With around 200 members, the club combines a long tradition of competitive rowing with a broad commitment to health, recreation and community. Its athletes have earned more than 1,000 victories, including national and international achievements. Today, KRV welcomes rowers of different ages and experience levels, from young people learning the sport to adult and senior members who row regularly.

The club offers competitive rowing, youth and masters programmes, recreational rowing, and touring trips on rivers such as the Main and Danube. Members can learn rowing from the basics, take part in scheduled training, or try the sport through introductory rowing sessions. KRV also shares information for visiting touring rowers and provides access to a hall for hire. Alongside training and regattas, the club organises group outings and social events, fostering companionship across generations.
