Krystallandet is an online, text-based role-playing community set in an original, medieval-inspired high-fantasy world. Members create their own characters and help shape a shared story through written interactions, choosing whether to take part in major political and magical conflicts or explore everyday life across the realm. The setting includes several kingdoms and a diverse population, with extensive reference material on its history, map, races, gods, magic, languages, creatures, and plants.

The site supports collaborative play through character and player directories, open role-play threads, plot searches, factions, families, occupations, and wanted-character listings. Members can follow ongoing storylines, join discussions in the forums, and connect through chat and Discord. Information and guidance are available for newcomers, including rules and advice on getting started, so both experienced writers and beginners can participate. Krystallandet is a community-driven creative platform where members develop characters, write together, and contribute to an evolving fantasy setting.
