About Kansas Head Start
Kansas Head Start is a brand committed to the success of the families they serve. They provide Head Start and Early Head Start programs that offer a range of services and an unprecedented level of passion. Understanding that learning is not just cognitive, Head Start focuses on the social, emotional, and physical development of children, with strong parent involvement.
Early Head Start caters to pregnant women, infants, and toddlers, acknowledging the critical brain development that occurs during the first three years of life. Sadly, over 40,000 Kansas children under the age of five live in poverty, making the need for these programs crucial. Although funding has limited enrollment in the past, Kansas Head Start and Early Head Start managed to serve 9,975 families and 11,053 children during the 2014-2015 school year.
By working closely with families, removing barriers to success, and fostering compassionate partnerships, Kansas Head Start aims to provide a better start for children and their families. You can contribute to their cause by volunteering, advocating, or donating to support their impactful work
