KSHSAA, the Kansas State High School Activities Association, is a private/non-profit organization dedicated to administering a program of interscholastic activities, festivals, clinics, and contests among accredited member schools. With over 350 senior high and 408 middle/junior high member schools, both public and private, KSHSAA offers a wide range of opportunities for students to participate in various sports and non-athletic activities. KSHSAA provides state championships in 11 boys and girls sports, including baseball, basketball, football, golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, swim & dive, tennis, track & field, volleyball, wrestling, as well as ten additional championships in music activities, debate, speech and drama, and scholars bowl.

Moreover, KSHSAA is committed to promoting good sportsmanship and fostering the development of good citizenship among students and spectators. The association is structured with an Executive Board, Board of Directors, and an Appeal Board to ensure effective governance and rule interpretations. To keep schools and communities informed, KSHSAA publishes a monthly magazine, the KSHSAA Activities Journal, and utilizes various electronic mediums, including its website, email notifications, and social media platforms like no other state association in the nation.
