KSM (Kahn-Sagol-Maccabi) is the research and innovation center of Maccabi Healthcare Services, Israel’s leading health maintenance organization. Its mission is to advance global health by turning healthcare data and scientific research into meaningful medical insights and innovation. KSM works with Maccabi’s extensive digital health records, which span 30 years and cover 2.7 million members, alongside a biobank containing more than one million biological samples.

The organization offers a broad range of research and development capabilities. Its teams conduct epidemiological studies, genetic and biological research, and interventional clinical trials, including support for planning and participant recruitment. KSM also provides technology and data infrastructure, data science, analysis, and engineering, and develops innovation initiatives that connect researchers, entrepreneurs, academic institutions, and health and biotechnology companies. Through its research platform, KSM enables access to medical data for eligible research and innovation projects.

KSM publishes scientific findings, shares news and podcasts, and supports research through grants. Its work includes collaborations and the application of data-driven methods, including artificial intelligence, to healthcare challenges and personalized medicine.
