KTH Formula Student was founded in 2003 in Stockholm by Dr. Fredrik Westin, a former PhD student at KTH. The team has designed, built and competed with a fully electrical Formula Student vehicles for close to ten years as well as an autonomous vehicle for the last five years.

About KTH Formula Student
KTH Formula Student is a nonprofit project dedicated to designing, manufacturing, testing, and competing with a car in Formula Student. Our mission is to become the number one team in Scandinavia, providing students with valuable experiences and a head-start in their transition from academic studies to the workplace. As Europe's most established educational motorsport competition, Formula Student aims to develop enterprising and innovative engineers while encouraging young people to pursue careers in engineering.
Our team values innovation, sustainability, and teamwork, and we strive to create an exceptional platform for engineering and management students to test their limits. We are currently working on building and developing a fully driverless and electric Formula Student car. With the support of high-profile engineers and companies like Lamborghini, Airbus, and Ferrari F1 Team, our members gain invaluable knowledge and experience.
