KUET

Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) is a public university in Bangladesh focused on education, research, and innovation. Its roots date to 1967, when it was established as Khulna Engineering College under the University of Rajshahi. Academic activities began in 1974, and the institution later became a university.

KUET offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, postgraduate diplomas, professional diplomas, and training. Its academic disciplines span engineering, architecture, urban and regional planning, science, and humanities, with departments including civil, electrical and electronic, mechanical, computer science, biomedical, textile, and chemical engineering. The university also has institutes specializing in information and communication technology, disaster management, and environment and power technology.

Research and related services include undergraduate and postgraduate research, conferences, publications, funded projects, and consultancy and testing through its Research and Testing Service. KUET supports its academic community with facilities such as a central library, computer center, medical center, laboratories, student accommodation, scholarships, and teaching assistantships.
