Kuhat

Uintiseura Kuhat ry is a volunteer-run Finnish sports club with around 300 members and a history spanning approximately 60 years. The club offers activities in water polo, basketball and winter swimming, welcoming both juniors and adults. Its water polo programme is one of Finland’s largest, with teams competing across official Finnish championship series, from junior divisions to the men’s and women’s top leagues.

Juniors can get started through the water polo school, where they practise swimming, staying afloat, passing and throwing before playing the game. The club also fields two men’s basketball teams, competing in Finland’s third and fourth divisions. From October to April, Kuhat’s winter swimming activities take place at Pikkukoski beach.

The club also manages the Pikkukoski sauna, which can be rented for private events. Members and supporters can buy club merchandise through its online shop, while the website provides training schedules, registration details and match results. Through its sports programmes and community activities, Uintiseura Kuhat supports participation, skill development and local sporting life
