Kukat Haudalle

Kukat Haudalle is a Finnish grave-care service that helps people look after loved ones’ graves when distance, health, age or a busy schedule makes visits difficult. Customers can order and pay online, and the service sends photographs after completed work so they can see the grave’s condition.

Its seasonal services are available at selected cemeteries in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Turku, Tampere, Jyväskylä and Pori. Summer care can include planting flowers, weekly watering, removing faded blooms and weeds, and tidying the grave. Customers may choose from several flower varieties and request a preferred colour, subject to availability. One-off watering visits are also offered.

For autumn, Kukat Haudalle plants calluna and border plants. Its candle visits include placing and lighting a lidded oil candle and, when needed, removing old candles; visits are offered for All Saints’ Day and Christmas. Service packages and availability vary by location. The business also creates local summer job opportunities for young people aged 15 to 17, who receive training and an adult contact person.
