Nuo 2023 metų sausio 1 d. veiklą pradeda Klaipėdos universiteto ligoninė. Ji įsteigta į vieną ligoninę sujungus Klaipėdos universitetinę ligoninę, Klaipėdos jūrininkų ligoninę bei Palangos reabilitacijos ligoninę. Naujai įregistruota Klaipėdos universiteto ligoninė tapo trečiuoju stipriu, universiteto lygmens medicinos centru šalyje ir didžiausia pagal veiklos apimtis daugiaprofiline asmens sveikatos priežiūros įstaiga Vakarų Lietuvos regione.
