Karate Klub KUMADE Topoľčany is a karate club in Topoľčany, Slovakia, offering training for children, teenagers and adults. Its main focus is working with young people, and children can begin karate from the age of four. The club welcomes participants across a broad age range and groups them according to age and sporting ability, with classes for young beginners, competitors, seniors and adults starting out.
Group and private training sessions take place Monday to Friday. Beyond regular classes, KUMADE organises competitions, training camps and seminars, giving members opportunities to develop their skills and take part in club activities. Its events include the annual Kuma Cup and Kuma Run.
Karate in Topoľčany has roots dating back to the 1970s, when the TJ Mladost karate club was among the first ten in Slovakia. The name KUMADE combines the Japanese words for “bear” and “paw,” loosely meaning “bear paw.” The club’s logo represents this image, while its panda mascot is named Kumu.
