Kumul Petroleum

Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (KPHL) is Papua New Guinea’s national petroleum company, managing the State’s interests in the country’s oil and gas sector. Its activities include holding an interest in the PNG LNG project and working with industry partners to explore opportunities for aggregating gas from discovered and prospective resources in the Gulf of Papua. KPHL also participates in LNG and gas marketing arrangements and supports development of energy-related infrastructure, including the Motukea Fuel Facility and a training and fabrication facility near Caution Bay.

Beyond its commercial role, KPHL contributes to national development through dividends to the Government and investment in community initiatives. Its reported work includes supporting cancer treatment services at ANGAU Memorial Hospital, funding assistance for children in out-of-home care, and a graduate development program.
