About Kung Fu Midlands
Three Family Fist Kung Fu – Midlands offers weekly martial arts tuition for adults and children, combining the Dragon, Tiger and White Crane styles. Classes cover hand-to-hand techniques, forms, weapons training, throws, sparring, locks and multiple-attack practice. The school welcomes beginners and invites prospective students to arrange a free taster session at a local club.
Juniors aged 5 to 16 train on Monday evenings, while adult classes for ages 16 and over take place on Wednesday evenings at St. John’s Church Hall in Sutton Coldfield. Sessions cost £6 for children and £8 for adults, with no direct debits or monthly lesson fees.
Training is presented as a way to develop personal protection skills and self-confidence, improve fitness, flexibility, strength and range of motion, and enjoy learning alongside others. The school is led by Alex Pye, a fifth-level Black Grandmaster who began training in Three Family Fist in 2000 and teaching in 2004. His qualifications include personal training, advanced instruction, nutrition and weight management.
