Kunterbunte Butterfliege GmbH is a pediatric intensive care and nursing service based in Grasberg, Germany. It provides individualized care for children, guided by respect for each patient’s dignity, personal values, and wishes. The company combines nursing principles associated with Florence Nightingale with educational and psychosocial approaches inspired by Maria Montessori, emphasizing compassionate care, professional expertise, and ongoing staff training.
Its services include round-the-clock intensive care at home, with specially trained nurses providing continuous monitoring and treatment. The team also offers palliative care for children with serious illnesses, including pain management and psychosocial support in close coordination with regional outpatient palliative care services. For children attending school or kindergarten, specialist nursing support helps enable participation in everyday social life. Home nursing also includes support for children with diabetes.
Kunterbunte Butterfliege provides care consultations under Section 37.3 of Germany’s Social Code XI, which are covered by care insurance funds and free to recipients. The company’s stated aim is to deliver the best possible care while supporting both patients and their families.
