About Kurdistan Human Rights Network
Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) is an independent, non-profit organization established in France in 2014, dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights in the Kurdistan region of Iran. KHRN focuses on educating the public and enhancing awareness of human rights principles, while systematically documenting violations such as executions, detentions, and the rights of various marginalized groups, including women, ethnic minorities, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
The organization actively engages with media and international human rights bodies, offering reports, special publications, and testimony documentation to foster understanding and advocacy. KHRN operates in three languages: Kurdish, Persian, and English, ensuring accessibility to a broader audience. Since joining the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty in 2017, KHRN has collaborated with local and global organizations, positioning itself as a crucial voice for justice and human rights reform in the region. Through its efforts, KHRN advocates for the rights to education, expression, and freedom of assembly, striving for a just society for all.
