The Kurt-Thomas-Kammerchor is a chamber choir based in Frankfurt am Main, dedicated to sharing the rich tradition of sacred choral music. Led by its founder and artistic director, cantor Andreas Köhs, the ensemble performs music spanning the Renaissance to the modern era, presenting both a cappella works and concerts with orchestra. Its program includes choral and oratorio performances, with concerts regularly held at Frankfurt’s Dreikönigskirche and at other venues, including churches in Leipzig, Eisenach and Erfurt.
The choir’s performances have been praised by German publications for their refined, homogeneous sound, clear diction, precise intonation and expressive interpretation. Through its concert projects, the ensemble invites audiences to experience the breadth and depth of church music. Its website provides details about the choir, its leadership, repertoire, sound and upcoming events, as well as concert tickets, venue information and an archive of past projects. Visitors can also sign up for a concert newsletter or access the choir’s app and Facebook presence.
