Mikhail Sukhodeev is a blacksmith who makes handmade Yakut-style knives, drawing on 36 years of experience in forging. He personally produces each knife and says he takes responsibility for its quality, offering a refund if a customer encounters a problem. His products come with a lifetime warranty and lifetime free sharpening and maintenance. Each knife is also supplied with a certificate stating that it is not classified as a bladed weapon.

The featured knife has a blade made from X50CrMoV15 steel, hardened to 58–59 HRC, and a handle of stabilized birch, described as moisture-resistant and impact-resistant. Its blade is 146 mm long and 25 mm wide, with a 3 mm spine; the handle measures 128 mm. The knife weighs 165 g without its sheath and 230 g with it, and has a single-sided fuller.
