KVADRAT arkitekter AS is an architecture and interior design practice based in Trondheim, Norway, serving both public and private building projects. With a history dating back to 1970 and more than 50 years of experience, the firm combines seasoned professionals with younger, engaged architects to deliver a broad range of services. Its project experience includes homes, commercial buildings, schools and healthcare facilities, with interior architects also shaping the quality and function of indoor spaces.
Beyond architectural and interior design, KVADRAT offers project development, design management and coordination of design work throughout all project phases. For smaller building projects, it also provides construction management. The firm holds central approval for architecture and for acting as responsible applicant in the highest stated measure class.
Environmental considerations are an important part of its work. KVADRAT is Eco-Lighthouse certified and has experience with passive-house and low-energy buildings, alternative ventilation solutions, mass timber and environmentally responsible material choices.
