kvArgonauten

KV Argonauten is a canoeing club based in De Rijp, welcoming beginners and experienced paddlers in an open, friendly environment. Its boathouse on the Meelzak sits beside the water, with direct access to the Beemsterringvaart and routes towards nearby nature areas including the Eilandspolder, Wormer and Jisperveld. Paddlers can launch from the club’s own landing stage, and the facilities include changing rooms and showers.

The club’s main activities are competitive canoeing, recreational paddling and stand-up paddleboarding. Members train in groups every Friday, with sessions suited to different ability levels, and can also practise individually on other days. Fitness equipment is available in the training loft. The Argonauten competes in around five events across the Netherlands each year, while recreational members can join organised local outings and trips to destinations elsewhere in the country. The club also hosts activities and events, and its website provides information about membership, canoeing and boat rental. Activities are organised by volunteers, with occasional help requested from members and parents of junior members.
