Kanovereniging Edam (KVE) is a friendly, community-focused canoeing club in Edam, the Netherlands, offering members opportunities to enjoy active recreation on the water. Its varied programme welcomes paddlers of different ages and experience levels, with trips designed to suit a range of abilities and distances. The club is based at its own clubhouse on the Oorgat, between the Zuiderzeesluis and Edam’s historic centre. Two private pontoons provide convenient access to the water, with the IJsselmeer only a short paddle away and inland routes available directly from the site, including Edam’s canals and the Purmerringvaart.

KVE organises activities throughout the year, including regular touring trips on most Sundays and some Wednesdays. Excursions may start from the clubhouse or involve transporting boats to another destination. The website provides a tour calendar, event information, membership details, and blogs about paddling outings. Prospective members can find information about joining or getting acquainted with the club. KVE is a membership association and does not commercially rent canoes or stand-up paddleboards.
