SSK Klub vojenské historie Praha is a Czech historical and sporting-shooting club founded on May 10, 1967, originally as the Club of Friends of Military History and Weapons. It describes itself as the first organized military-history club in Czechoslovakia and continues to bring together people interested in military history, historic weapons, collecting, and related fields. The club organizes regular member meetings, lectures, visits, and social gatherings, with topics ranging from battles and military equipment to fencing, medals, stamps, and forensic medicine.
Its members also contribute to exhibitions, publish specialist and thematic books, give lectures outside the club, and undertake restoration work on historic objects. The club maintains a collection of materials documenting its more than fifty-year history, including records of its publications, shooting competitions, and educational activities. Sport shooting remains an area of interest, including shooting with historical weapons.
Through its meetings, research, practical demonstrations, and public-facing projects, the organization supports the study and preservation of military history and related craftsmanship in Prague and beyond
