KVW Haelen en Nunhem is a community organization that brings children together for a lively week of activities during the final week of the summer holidays. Based around Grand Café Zalencentrum Aldenghoor in Haelen, its annual event combines games, sports, creative activities, village outings, themed performances and group adventures. Each edition has its own theme, with the 2027 event scheduled for 23–27 August.
The program welcomes a range of ages and participants. Younger children can enjoy a dedicated Kleuterdag, while children in groups 3 to 8 and those aged 6–13 in special education can take part in the main activities. First-year secondary students are invited to join the Spokentocht, and younger aspiring helpers can participate as Junior Crew. From age 14, participants can join as leaders or assistant leaders. Volunteers are also welcome to help build, supervise games and support the event.
KVW is supported by sponsors and community members. Registration for the 2027 week is expected to reopen in spring 2027.
