About Kenya Water For Health Organization
Kenya Water for Health Organization (KWAHO) is a national non-governmental organization established in 1976 with a mission to implement Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Promotion (WASH) programs for marginalized communities. Our vision is to create a healthy world with sustainable access to water, sanitation, and hygiene for all. At KWAHO, we believe in service to humanity, and we are dedicated to improving the lives of communities through our various projects.
We focus on constructing water and sanitation facilities in schools and communities, while also promoting hygiene practices like hand-washing and water treatment. Through capacity building initiatives, we transfer skills to community members for the operation, management, and maintenance of these facilities. Moreover, we actively contribute to informing the policy direction of the WASH sector in Kenya and enhance the advocacy capacities of local communities.
