Khmer Water Supply Holding (KWSH) is a venture-backed private water utility committed to expanding access to clean and affordable piped water across rural Cambodia. KWSH invests in private water supply stations then leverages its expertise to standardize operations, improve water quality, and build infrastructure that increases the station’s reach. To date, the company has invested in 4 water stations that cover over 23,000 households in their combined license areas. KWSH is preparing to enter a phase of rapid growth and has plans to more than double in size over the next two years. • KWSH was founded in 2013 by the Project promoters - OBOR Capital, a venture capital & project management firm and Insitor, an early stage private-equity fund based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. • KWSH acquires, standardizes, expands, and operates a portfolio of small-scale piped water stations (PWSs) that distribute affordable and safe drinking water to households in rural Cambodia. • KWSH drives the development of each of these stations by investing aggressively towards improvement & increased capacity of water treatment and distribution facilities and by bringing operational and technical know-how critical to support the daily operations and development at each of these stations. • Households pay a USD 35-50 one-time fee in installments and monthly billing per use (measured by water meter) with price of ~USD 0.5/ 1000 liters of safe drinkable water.

About Khmer Water Supply Holding
Khmer Water Supply Holding (KWSH) is a leading utilities company in Cambodia, dedicated to providing clean water to rural areas. Their vision is to increase access to affordable and reliable tap water for Cambodians living in semi-urban and rural regions while delivering meaningful returns to investors. KWSH achieves this by partnering with licensed private local water operators and taking over the management of water stations with untapped potential.
They invest aggressively in improving water treatment and distribution facilities, ensuring households have access to clean water. By providing operational and technical expertise, KWSH supports the daily operations and development of these stations. For a one-time connection fee of only USD 30, households can enjoy reliable access to clean water.
KWSH also offers flexibility in payment, allowing fees to be paid in installments. With only 66% of rural Cambodians having access to improved water, KWSH recognizes the untapped potential of the rural piped water sector. They aim to generate social improvement and steady financial returns by addressing this critical need
