Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is a renowned preserved standard gauge line that connects with the national railway network at Keighley. Stretching over 5 miles, the railway runs through the picturesque valleys of the River Worth and Bridgehouse Beck, all the way to Oxenhope. The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Preservation Society was established in 1962 after the line's closure by British Railways, with the goal of reintroducing a daily passenger service to the Worth Valley area.

In June 1968, the society successfully reopened the branch line from Keighley to Oxenhope. While their initial plan to reinstate a full-time commuter service proved unfeasible, the railway has thrived as a popular tourist attraction. Keighley & Worth Valley Railway gained fame for its appearance in the 1970 film adaptation of Edith Nesbit's The Railway Children.

They have also hosted numerous film crews, including those for Testament of Youth, Swallows & Amazons, and the TV series Peaky Blinders. Offering steam train journeys every weekend and daily during the summer, the railway also holds special events like locomotive galas, Santa Steam Specials, and visits from beloved children's TV characters. Additionally, the railway boasts a fantastic Beer & Music Festival every October.
