About KyivPride
KyivPride is a Ukrainian non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting and safeguarding the rights of the LGBTQ+ community in Ukraine. They organize an event called Pride Month annually, which consists of a series of cultural and educational activities aimed at raising awareness about the lives and issues of the LGBTQ+ community in Ukraine. These activities include discussions, trainings, workshops, exhibitions, and film screenings.
The organization also conducts the March for Equality, a traditional advocacy march for LGBTQ+ rights. In addition to their annual activities, KyivPride works towards increasing the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in society, organizing informational campaigns, roundtables, conferences, and events for the community and its allies. They also provide support to the LGBTQ+ community during times of war, offering shelter in Kyiv, as well as free psychological and legal assistance.
