Kyler Cares Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving health outcomes for people of color living with Type 1 diabetes. The organization works to empower individuals and families by helping expand access to diabetes technology, education, clinical care, practical resources, and community support.
Its website brings together information for people who are newly diagnosed and those navigating ongoing life with T1D. Resources explain diagnosis, diabetes terminology, technology, nutrition, screening, and camps. Kyler Cares also connects people with partner clinics offering diabetes management care and provides Kyler Care Connect programs to help with financial and insurance coverage questions, social service needs, and finding community.
Community connection is central to the organization’s work. It hosts online and in-person events, including activities for teens and opportunities for people with T1D to meet and support one another. For younger children, its animated series Kyler Bear & Friends’ T1 Diaries uses storytelling to introduce diabetes management and build knowledge and confidence. Individuals and families can also support the foundation through gifts, sponsorships, or partnerships.
