Kymen Jääkäripataljoonan Kilta ry is a voluntary national defence association based in Hamina, Finland, and the heritage guild of the Kymen Jaeger Battalion, part of the Karelia Brigade. Founded in 1966, it brings people in the Kymenlaakso region together through opportunities for recreational national defence activities, preservation of military traditions and cooperation with other defence associations. The guild supports the battalion, its conscripts and staff, as well as Finnish war veterans.
Activities include field exercises, shooting events, outdoor days, ice-fishing and angling competitions, visits, guild evenings and church events. Members can also use the guild’s Ukkometso training facility in Länsikylä, Virolahti, by contacting the chairperson. Support for conscripts includes scholarships, recognition awards and a bicycle presented to each incoming group. The guild shares news through its annual member bulletin and the twice-yearly Kilpi magazine, published with the Karelia Brigade and other guilds. It also raises funds through event security and traffic guidance services. Membership is open through an online application, with an annual fee of €20.
