【公式】大恐竜展＠福島県立博物館

The Great Dinosaur Exhibition is a special exhibition organized by the Great Dinosaur Exhibition Executive Committee, bringing together the Fukushima Minyu Shimbun, Fukushima Central Television, and Fukushima Prefectural Museum. Held at the Fukushima Prefectural Museum in Aizuwakamatsu from July 11 to September 23, 2026, the exhibition explored dinosaur diversity and social life across the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Its featured attraction was Zavacephale, a newly discovered pachycephalosaur presented to the public for the first time worldwide.

Visitors could follow a themed journey from the end of the Jurassic and the dawn of the Cretaceous through the discovery of a new dinosaur, Cretaceous diversity, and dinosaur social behavior. The exhibition also considered birds as living dinosaurs and introduced current excavation research. The event offered visitor information and ticket services, special events, and an official shop, alongside updates, access details, and frequently asked questions through its website. The exhibition welcomed more than 70,000 visitors before closing.
