About La Vallée des Singes
La Vallée des Singes is a zoological park in Romagne, in France’s Vienne region, near Poitiers and Futuroscope. Set across 22 hectares of shaded paths, streams and waterfalls, the park is designed to offer visitors an immersive experience among primates. Its wooded islands and open territories allow around 450 animals to roam freely, without cages or fences separating them from visitors. The collection includes a wide range of primates, such as gorillas, bonobos, chimpanzees, mandrills, gibbons, lemurs, tamarins and squirrel monkeys.
Since opening, the park has recorded more than 800 births, including rare and delicate births in captivity. La Vallée des Singes combines visitor experiences with a commitment to primate protection, offering information about scientific research and the work of zookeepers. Visitors can explore species information and an interactive map, view special events and photographs, and plan their visit with ticketing, opening hours, practical advice and special offers. The site also provides guidance on eating and accommodation nearby, suggestions for places to visit around the park, and ways to support its work, including sponsoring a monkey.
