Laat Waai Papagaai

Laat Waai Papagaai NPC is a non-profit dedicated to the well-being of parrots in Southern Africa. Founded in 2018, our mission is to support exotic bird lovers and owners in caring for their feathered companions. From training and education to dietary requirements, we are here to ensure that parrots live healthy and happy lives.

Our advocacy extends to rescuing and rehoming parrots, combating illegal bird trade, and promoting responsible ownership. With a network of passionate individuals like founder Ilse Meyer, dedicated to avian health, we provide support, raise funds for medical treatment, and educate the community. Our team, including General Administration lead Debbie Viviers and Company Secretary Erik Pretorius, ensures no parrot is left behind.

Join our nationwide community of animal lovers and enthusiasts, united by our shared love for these beautiful creatures. Together, let's champion the cause of the companion parrot
