The Los Angeles Black History Month Festival is a community-focused annual event affiliated with Open Arms Food Pantry and Resource Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Held in Los Angeles during Black History Month, the festival celebrates Black history, achievements, and cultural contributions while encouraging healthy communities and greater awareness of ongoing social issues. Its program brings together live performing artists, notable speakers, an Afrikan marketplace, and activities for families.
The Brain Power of Health Fair offers health screenings, mental wellness resources, social service referrals, and children’s services, while a Soccer Stars play zone provides additional family-friendly activity. The festival also creates opportunities for vendors, sponsors, and brands through vendor participation, sponsorships, and brand activation areas. Visitors can explore festival programs, performer lineups, photo galleries, and digital publications through its website, which also provides information for talent submissions and donations.
The organization shares event updates and invites community members, businesses, and partners to take part in its programming and support its work
