La Breizh Bande à Popeye is a French nonprofit association dedicated to animal welfare. Its refuge provides a home for farm animals that have been abandoned, rescued from mistreatment or industrial farming, or surrendered by people who can no longer care for them. Through its work, the association aims to raise awareness of animal well-being and encourage a more thoughtful understanding of farm animals.
The association runs an educational farm that welcomes schools, leisure centres, specialist institutions such as IMEs, and nursing homes. Visitors can learn about the animals and the importance of treating them with care. It also offers animal-assisted mediation, including a travelling farm service that visits settings such as schools, nurseries, IMEs and nursing homes. These activities bring people into contact with the association’s animal mediators in their own environment. The team invites interested organisations to get in touch for information about pricing and arrangements. La Breizh Bande à Popeye also shares information about its animals, activities and ways to get involved, helping connect the community with its animal-welfare mission.
