Labuan Fintech Association (LFTA) is a prominent organization created in 2019, with the mission of driving the fintech and digital ecosystem in Labuan International Business and Financial Centre (Labuan IBFC), as well as the wider region. LFTA works closely with other associations in Malaysia and beyond, aiming to foster the growth of the digital industry in Labuan IBFC and Malaysia as a whole. Labuan IBFC boasts a rapidly expanding digital ecosystem that includes digital banks, insurtechs, digital intermediaries, robo-advisors, digital asset exchanges, and e-payment systems.

With its comprehensive Islamic legislation and Shariah Supervisory Council, Labuan IBFC is an ideal hub for Shariah-compliant digital financial players. LFTA actively advocates for Labuan IBFC as a digital financial center, collaborating with regulators, multilateral organizations, and other associations in the region. The organization strives to facilitate partnerships aligned with its goals, enhancing the digital agenda and building a thriving digital community in Labuan IBFC.

LFTA membership is open to entities approved by Labuan FSA as Digital Financial Services players, as well as ecosystem partners in the digital and conventional financial services space.
