LAC, or Laboratório de Actividades Criativas, is a cultural association based in Lagos, Portugal. It supports artistic creation and encourages cultural participation through a varied programme for the wider community. Its activities include artist residencies, exhibitions, concerts, workshops, annual courses and educational and community-focused initiatives.
The LAC programme also features urban art projects, including ARTURb, and opportunities for artists to develop both short-term and year-long projects. Through its mediation and educational services, the association engages schools and local communities in creative activities. Its Art Lab offers practical sessions spanning subjects such as ceramics, drawing, photography, sound, visual arts, printmaking and poetry.
LAC also provides community-accessible ceramic firings at different temperatures, from 900 to 1250°C. In addition to public events and learning opportunities, the association shares artist interviews and project showcases, and invites supporters to become friends of LAC. Based in Lagos, it operates from Largo Convento de Nossa Senhora da Glória and maintains a regular programme of cultural activities
