La Cartuja de Sevilla

La Cartuja de Sevilla is a Spanish ceramics brand making fine earthenware and handcrafted tableware since 1841. Its history began when British entrepreneur Charles Pickman acquired a Carthusian monastery to establish a pottery factory; the brand’s ceramic production now takes place at its factory in Salteras. La Cartuja highlights its traditional formula and materials, including quartz, kaolin, feldspar, silica, clay and sand, and presents its products as handmade pieces combining craftsmanship with classic and contemporary design.

Its collections include plates, bowls, serving dishes, soup tureens, tableware sets and pieces for coffee and tea, such as cups, teapots, coffee pots and sugar bowls. The range also extends to decorative trays, vases, bathroom pieces, home accessories, books and textiles. Customers can explore classic collections such as 202 Rosa, Ceilán and Viejo Molino, alongside contemporary designs including Oaxaca and Geórgica. La Cartuja sells through its online store, which offers international shipping and several secure payment options. The brand also shares inspiration for setting tables for both special occasions and informal meals.
