Lac De Beaute is an English-owned, family-friendly carp fishing destination in the picturesque countryside of north-west France, around two hours from Caen and 20 minutes from the Le Mans race circuit. Set among Canadian pine trees and abundant wildlife, the spring-fed lake covers approximately 2. 5 acres and is more than 50 years old.
Its fish include carp weighing up to 58 lb, catfish up to 70 lb and sturgeon up to 60 lb, alongside grass carp, koi and a rare grass carp–koi hybrid. Anglers can choose from four well-spaced swims on one bank, with flat, grassy areas suitable for bivvies and access to far-bank features. Lac De Beaute offers drive-and-survive fishing holidays, two furnished mobile homes for guests travelling with family or friends, and a hard-standing motorhome pitch for visitors exploring Europe.
