Lâche Ta Clope is a community-based association in Le Luc en Provence, France, dedicated to informing people about tobacco cessation and supporting smokers who want to quit. Founded in 2017, the association resumed its activities after a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on making practical help accessible and keeping cost from becoming a barrier.
Its services include individual discussions about tobacco use, guidance to help people prepare for quitting, and ongoing encouragement to support progress and reduce the risk of relapse. Members can receive a tobacco-use assessment and regular measurements of exhaled carbon monoxide using a PiCO Smokerlyzer. The association also provides printed educational materials, shares cessation news and resources through its blog, and plans to develop a directory of local tobacco consultations.
Lâche Ta Clope organizes group screening and prevention activities in public spaces and participates in campaigns such as World No Tobacco Day and No Tobacco Month. Membership is available year-round for an annual fee, and donations help fund equipment, educational materials, and outreach.
